And for those who didn't notice the link in the comments to the patreon post, here's an article on some backstory (with bonus image of a postcard from Ellison on that same backstory).

I haven't read this, but I am a tremendous fan of J. Michael Straczynski. Per Ellison's will, he was the one who was asked to shepherd this through. If anyone has info on how to approach this, then I'd love to hear.

Whatever else you want to say about Straczynski he's in the running for hardest-working writer in showbiz; just the man to get this done.

Just received (had to order it) Lexicon Urthus (2nd edition), a dictionary for Gene Wolfe's Urth books. Initial explorations are very promising; I expect much pleasure from it.
edit: I didn't realize this was going into the Ellison thread. Oops. I guess I'll repost it in the main thread.

Um, yikes? Apparently the book can now be purchased? There are 36 LTers who already have it.

There's a very complicated wikipedia article on all the stories that have come and gone over the decades. Still, as someone who bought the SF Book Club edition in 1968 (I guess?) it's a bit dizzying to see it now here, however diminished.
