The Happy Hunting Ground of All Minds is a quasi-modern-day Don Quixote. Seven-eighths of the book is entertaining and humorous in its own way. You find your self both commiserating with and then yelling at the narrator in turns. Then, the ending throws you for a loop, and not in a good way. It doesn’t feel in keeping with the tone of the rest of the story. Perhaps the narrator led me astray. ( )
