Suzy McKee Charnas (1939-2023)

Getting to be too many of these. Obit at Locus Magazine. I saw her on numerous convention panels, very thoughtful commentator. Walk to the End of the World is a classic of 1970s SF, IMO.

Looks like a great series worth getting into, thanks for highlighting that.

A good writer, and yes, a good person in panel discussions. Unabashedly feminist. Kinda cheerful, which isn't necessarily what you'd get from reading, say, The Furies.

Oh, this is sad news. I'll have to dig out my copies of the Holdfast Chronicles for a reread.
