I am hoping for the same! I am trying to read more non fiction in 2024, so that should help.

Thanks for setting up the group again, John! I hope to do better with my BFBs, now that I'm retired and should have more time. But in real life, pensioners are always busy...

>7 MissWatson: I'm not, Birgit. Lots of free time. I have the morning to do chores and visit Peet and the afternoons are for things like books, jigsaws and fun things to do.

Hey John. Since this is my first foray into the BFB group, had a question about audio books. Is there a suggested benchmark on an audio that makes it a BFB? Or would you just go somewhere to see how long the paper version is and if it exceeds 500, then its in?

For example, I'm just about finished with Return of the King. The audio is 21 hours. The paper copy I have is 506p, so is 21 hours a benchmark, or are you really only tracking pages read?

This curious mind wants to know.

>14 mahsdad:, Hi Jeff, to be honest i haven't thought about audio books, i would err on the side of checking how long a paperback version is as we only really track pages read. I hope this is useful to you mate and maybe other members of the group have some thoughts.

Thanks John, I'll use the page count of the paper version of the book and record those pages to the group's running total. Makes sense. Thanks!

>16 mahsdad: Yes I always use the page count from a paper edition.
