SqueakyChu *might* craft in 2024

Well, I just finished collecting and arranging all of my yarn and yarn projects from the past 40(!) years. I organized all of the yarn and batting into three cardboard boxes. I have a smaller clear, soft zipper container for my crochet supplies.

Here are the projects I *might* start, work on, or finish in 2024:

1. A multi-color baby blanket I probably started in the 1980s. I know! - stuck on this as of 01/17/24

2. A purple and white scarf I started as a graduation present for my daughter who graduated from UMBC (Maryland) in 2004. I know!! - Completed 01/15/24

3. An off-white scarf I started for my daughter as a present for passing the Maryland Bar exam in 2015 (or was it supposed to be for her law school graduation from University of Maryland in 2014)? I know!!! - working on this as of 01/17/24

4. A crocheted bunny named Emma from an instruction sheet my daughter-in-law gave me two days ago! LOL! - not yet started as of 01/17/24

5. Matching crocheted hats for my daughter and Jelly Bean, her whippet. LOL! - not yet started as of 01/17/24

6. A coat for Jelly Bean made witha pattern from Etsy. - not yet started as of 01/17/24

Welcome Madeline!

You know, if you do finish that graduation scarf this year, it could be a 20th anniversary present!

>2 PawsforThought: I'm working on it now! So I found that the only thing that I did not do was to weave in the ends of the threads where I joined two colors. That will be easy to do! I *will* present it to her as her 20th anniversary high school graduation present! LOL! It's a pretty scarf. It even snowed today. I can finish it tonight and give it to her the next time I see her. I'll post a picture of it when it's done.

>3 qebo: Hi Katherine! I've missed seeing you! This group seems like fun. It’s just what I need! I hope to get back into needlework with it.

True confession: I didn't finish it last night...but I'm close. :D

Here it is! I think this scarf was actually supposed to be for my daughter's college graduation from UMBC (Baltimore, Maryland) so it's actually only 15 years late. I'm excited it's done, though. I just messaged her. She will get a good laugh out of this. I'll present it to her (wrapped in a furoshiki, which I'm keeping) the next time I see her. :D

Thanks, Paws, for getting me back to my needlework!

>14 lauralkeet: I sent my daughter a picture. She said it looks amazing. I apologized for it being 15 years late! :D

>15 MickyFine: Thank you so much! That was pretty easy, though. :)

>16 qebo: Yep! Thanks, Kathrine. Now I’ll
work on the scarf that is merely ten years late! Haha!

>19 dudes22: You're right! I'm already working on a second project and my daughter helped me think of yet another one...a coat for Jelly Bean, her whippet! She even sent me a link to where I can buy the pattern on Etsy! :D

>20 mnleona: I agree. She saw the picture and said it looks amazing. I wouldn't mind having a scarf like that one either. It would match my purple jacket! :D

>32 mabith: I'm actually working on a second scarf for my daughter. It's coming along slowly. It was supposed to be her present for graduating from law school. That was a few years ago. I completed the first scarf so I should eventually complete the second one!

How is it going with the second scarf? Have you made progress or has life got in the way?

My work stopped!! I’ve been spending time with friends instead…which is a good thing. I’ll get back to it eventually. :)
