I'm way behind on both ROOTing and posting, but it's for an understandable reason. There was a sudden death in my family back in April, and life went sort of topsy-turvy for a while. But things are mostly back on track now, and I think I can still make my goal this year, if I really concentrate on making it happen :).

I did manage to make my goal with a month to spare! Mostly because I read a bunch of very short books. I had a couple of collections of old YA books, like Sweet Valley High, and the Dangerous Angels series, that I'd been meaning to get around to, so I decided now was the time. Some of the other ROOTs I read after that were quite long, though, like Ghost Story and The Dark Blood of Poppies, so I feel it probably evens out in terms of book length.

I'm going to keep going and see how many more I can read before the year ends.
