Large Print Books as I have lost part of my vision

Dear LT comrades, I was hospitalized for five days in March due to a concussion and still am missing the middle part of my vision, a scotoma. So large print books have all of a sudden become really important! Can any one point me towards a searching method or large print catalogue? At this time I am stuck with Amazon searching and its filters don’t work very well. I have increased the font size on my reading devices but paper is missed. In particular am looking for books on Buddhism in large print. Thank you and have a wonderful day πŸ“šπŸ™πŸ€—πŸ€—

I use Magnifying lenses that are 15x and have built in lights. I have three so that there is always at least one charged up.

Not perfect, but I can read most books.

Lending libraries are generally very good at identifying (and having) large print books. Unfortunately non-fiction is much harder to find in large print. The suggestion of a magnifier with built in lights will probably be a good move - my mother has macular degeneration and uses a page-sized one and a smaller hand-held. Both are 3x magnification. She also swears by her special daylight equivalent lamp.

You might find a move to ebooks, at least temporarily, is a good answer. Amazon seems to have a number of kindle books when I searched 'buddhism', so perhaps try one to see? You can make changes to fore and background colours, as well as text size.

ETA: Abebooks has a large print search option, though mainly fiction, as do several other booksellers.

You might check out Thorndike Press as they do large print books. Mostly novels though.

I did a search on Amazon for "large print, Buddhism" and came up with the following page:
https://www.amazon.com/Buddhism-Large-Print-Religion-Spirituality/s?rh=n%3A12279...
Only 2 of the books say "large print edition" so I am not sure.
I hope this helps. Best wishes, k4k

>6 DangerVK: If you think an Austrian chain would be useful to you.

Be careful with Amazon. I ordered one that was supposed to be 30x. It was at best 3x.
