Touchstone: Mountain trees of Southern Arizona

There is no connection between an ISBN and a Dewey Decimal number.

Not all libraries will catalog a book exactly the same way. I found two different DD call numbers for this particular book: 582.16 R795m and 581.16097.

To find the first, I searched on WorldCat (https://search.worldcat.org/title/842165429) and pretended I wanted to borrow the book from the libraries listed till I found one (Institute of American Indian Arts Library) that uses DD rather than LC numbers.

To find the second, I went to the Add Books page on LibraryThing and searched various sources till I found one that had the book (University of California, Berkeley), then clicked the question mark button next to the title to display the bibliographic info from that source.

>2 BethalLittle: This book would most accurately be placed in 582.16097917 which is Science: Trees: By Geography: Southern Arizona. You could also put it in 979.17 which is History & Geography: Southern Arizona.

If you can't find the listing on the work details of a book, you can try out LT's 'MDS' feature: https://www.librarything.com/mds/ and click around until you find something that fits.

If you want Dewey numbers, you would do better to use a library source, and not Amazon.
