Words can not do justice to the elation of (after all these years) not only having new Conan material but long awaited and long overdue Conan adventures by John C. Hocking City of the Dead. Hocking is leaps and bounds the best Post Howard Conan writer out there. He has an understanding of the character. Now City of the Dead which contains the original Conan and the Emerald Lotus and DRUMROLL...Conan and the Living Plague. I know from correspondence and forums over decades that Hocking has been trying to get this second book out to us over the top Conan fans. As Conan fans and lovers of Low Fantasy we are doomed with a wonderful character that has been shuffled around from Marvel, to Dark Horse, back to Marvel. Cancellation after Cancellation....as fans it is nice to have something solid.
