Lois's Reading

I'm reading mostly short fiction, poetry and or short nonfiction. Often reading whatever I want and in any order.

Currently:

Serhiy Zhadan, A New Orthography poetry, translated Ukrainian

Lyuba Yakimchuk, Apricots of Donbas translated Ukrainian

Beth Ann Fennelly Open House, poetry, Mississippi, US

Beth Ann Fennelly, Unmentionables, Mississippi, US

Kate Atkinson, Normal rules don't apply, short stories, UK

My favorite of these is the poetry of Zhadan...

You have become a super fan of Zhadan. I still have The Orphanage on my wishlist.

Just finished a fine volume of poetry: Forest of Noise by Mosab Abu Toha.... Off to fine out if he has other books!

*his previous collection is Things You May Find Hidden in my Ear

Not that I could do much, but I am so sorry. I especially apologize to our non-US members at Librarything.

My condolences, Michael. I've been watching videos of the cleanup of Valencia. People organised to clean the streets themselves, when the officials failed. There always comes a point when the resistance becomes active and general.
