I am reading Stowaway by Karen Hesse. This is my second time reading this book and I LOVE it.

>1 Leahbear71920116508: I love Hesse's writing in general. Really liked this one when I read it a couple years back. Have you read Out of the Dust?

The Eastern Front. I'm reading it because it covers an aspect of WWI of which I know very little.

>8 AndreasJ: So far so good - (I'm on page 83 of a 507 page read) - the author includes maps which help you understand where everyone is - unlike the Western Front the Eastern is one of movement. My only small complaint is the maps are a bit sparse with respect to identifying some of the places mentioned in the text.
One very nice thing about the book is a cast of characters index in the back - even by page 83 there are so many actors from so many places (Serbia, Austro-Hungary, Germany, France, Russia, etc.) with uncommon names (that is uncommon to someone reading this book in the US) that it is easy to lose track of whose side the person mentioned in the text is on.

I personally haven't dived deep into WWI but I am very deep into WWII so I probably will end up doing WWI
