This is no longer recent news, but is not something I have seen mentioned here. I learned today of the untimely death of Dan Hillier via a post on his Instagram profile. Hillier was known for his creative illustration of Folio editions of The Call of Cthulhu and Steppenwolf, both superb.
On a personal note, I have long thought Call of Cthulhu to be my favourite non-limited Folio Society edition and I held out hope that we would one day see a matching set with the other S. T. Joshi-edited Lovecraft collections. Alas, it was not to be. But such concerns are a mere trifle when we are reminded how tenuous is our connection to the world of the living.
