The book that moved me the most that I have ever read was The Boy in Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. My favorite book is Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo!

The reason I found the boy in striped pajamas so moving was the fact that two young innocent children, oblivious to the awful thing around them, knowing that they were both very different and weren't supposed to be around each other, were able to make such a strong connection and one was even willing to risk his life for the happiness of the other. ps. I am sooo sorry I didn't see your message sooner I just got over pneumonia so I haven't been on my account really

Honestly when it comes to favorite books, I kind of switch back and forth. Shadow and Bone was just something I read recently that I really enjoyed so it kind of became one of my favorite books!

I have trouble narrowing down one favourite, but a book that has really moved me lately is Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. The narrating character is probably autistic, but also has some things deeply wrong with her because of events that are revealed slowly over the course of the book. It starts out extremely depressing, but over the course of the book it becomes an examination of how much people, even total strangers, can care for each other, which is a theme that always really gets to me.

My favorite novel is Klara and the Sun. It has a variety of themes, but the two most powerful for me were the role of the sun and what it means to be human. The novel is emotionally forceful, and the author provides subtle clues, so one has to become absorbed by the narrative.

My favorite book is Swann’s Way by Marcel Proust. That sounds pretentious but it is a book I can get lost in over and over. It’s dense and emotive and reminds me that being human is a series of beautiful blunders.
