I am going to try to read two books this month, with the first being a cute little book I bought about taking care of these beloved creatures. How To Keep A Werewolf. The second book will be a little more scary.

A few options for me:
Silver Born / Patricia Briggs
City of Bones / Cassandra Clare
Codex Born / Jim C. Hines

I have a werewolf book set aside for this theme, Mongrels by Stephen Graham Jones.

I'll have to dig through the shelves. I'm sure I'll find something.

Will I continue with the Twilight series? It may be that, or I will see what else comes up.

I would recommend The Girl With All The Gifts for this one - a bit gruesome but a great read.

I've already read a recent release, The Vampire of Kings Street by Asha Greyling, which was a highly original take on vampires but grounded in vampire lore.

I'm adding Colleen Gleason, her Stoker and Holmes books.

I have completed my read of Mongrels by Stephen Graham Jones.

I read the classic vampire story Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu.

I finished a werewolf book called Above The Circle of the Moon by T.M. Tucker

Mercy, a mechanic and coyote shapeshifter who grew up in a werewolf pack and is now mated to one of the alpha werewolf males in the Tri-Cities region, is also best friends with Samuel, another high ranking werewolf. When Samuel, a doctor, is suddenly his wolf, Sam, and won’t turn back to human, something is very wrong and Mercy will help and protect him until they figure out how to help him. Meantime, a bounty hunter appears at her shop, apparently looking for a wolf he has been paid to kill.

And there’s so much more. I really liked this one. It’s the 5th in the series. This might be one of the higher ranked ones (for me, anyway). I like Samuel and liked the focus on him, but as mentioned there was way more going on than just what Samuel was going through. This one had lots of action and I really enjoyed it.
