Slow loading?

Hi,

Added a book today and uploaded a cover--took forever, and now when I go to "Home" to see recently added books, no cover is showing, just a tiny dot that I have to click to see the book information. Also, when I search the author in my books, this book doesn't show up (perhaps it shows up as a tiny dot, too, but I can't see it).

I am also getting this bug

Can you tell us what book you added? And the system(s) you're using?
Operating system? Browser?

I know the photo server has been struggling of late, it may be having sync problems that can take up to 24 hours to correct. But that may not be the case, but we do need the above information.

I am also noticing this as well, with viewing covers for books that have a lot of options, and with changing covers.

For some reason or another, this seems to apply to uploading other pics, also. Half an hour ago, I uploaded two author pictures on their page, and it took ages for these pics to display in the browser on the author pages. This happened both in the Firefox and Chrome browsers. I have not tested any other browsers, like Edge.

Same. I'm using Chrome. Looks like the broken image pic for quite a while before the actual cover shows up.

Hi all our image servers were under extra load since yesterday afternoon as we worked on troubleshooting an image issue. We've rolled back the change causing this and the image servers should be working normally again soon.

I'm still getting 502 Bad Gateway messages whilst trying to load pictures to my Gallery, the same as for the past few days (tried just now). Is that the same? (Using Firefox in Windows 10, both up to date).

Today, the problem has returned. I was uploading author pics, and they were very slow to load. And when I looked at the Recent authors Gallery page, the most recent additions didn't show up at all.

Nothing doing I'm afraid, although this time I'm getting Secure Connection Failures as well. As suggesed, I tried loading an entirely different image. Trying to go back to the home page, always seems to take a very long time to load, to the extent it seems frozen, and most times I have to come out of the site altogether and then come back in.

......but then, 2 minutes later, tried loading the original pictures, and all loaded successfully (first time in a fortnight)!

The past two days trying to check-in/return books has been SO slow! I've had to write down student's books because it's taking longer than the class time we have. Is there some kind of maintenance or bug going on?

Adding books and covers aren't loading.

Covers crashing all over the place, not just new additions, but old ones.

Seeing the same thing, at least in "Recent Member-Uploaded Covers for Your Books." Only 29 of 51 covers appear. This even though roughly 60% should have been cached.

It appears, when I hover over them, the default covers all seem to appear, at least in as many as I tested.

Cover images I uploaded a day or two ago not appearing, though those I uploaded today are (at least for the moment).

Edit: older entries have also lost their covers. No covers appear on "Tiny Cat".

Loaded a book image - get a broken jpeg icon. Restarted Chrome - same problem. Logged out and back into Librarything - no fix. It worked last night and into early this morning (CST US).

It’s not just book covers and not just recent uploads—pics all over the site are broken: 2 of 3 pics in my gallery that have been around for quite some time are now broken; many author and venue photos are broken, etc.

I am also experiencing an issue with recently added images not uploading.

Needless to say, this disrupts my plans to update books before Thanksgiving visitors arrive. I see that this goes back to Halloween, some three weeks ago. Either it is a recurring problem or it has not been solved. I don't know if the images are stored and simply not being displayed again. I don't know if they will eventually show up or if I'll have to repeat the work again.

It appears to be a problem in getting some images to/from the CDN (Content Delivery Network).

Hi, just wanted to report roughly half of all my book cover images are showing broken links tonight (11/22/2024, 8:45 pm CST). I started tagging with "LT imagehack" but there are so many I gave up. Any suggestions or is something bigger going on? Also, to add to comments above, this has not happened weeks ago to me, first time tonight. Thanks.

My most recent cover was fine earlier today but disappeared this evening. In the last hour over six hundred of my covers have vanished.
