Loading Photos from LT App on my Samsung S10

Hello:
My library has MANY older books and there are no pictures already taken of them to choose from. Thus I have been taking pictures from my phone and then trying to add them through the app when I go to the section called Cover Explorer on my phone, then into "No Cover" but when I try to add the photo it does not load, instead I get a message "Upload Failed, Failed to upload the cover. Cancel Retry. It has been like this for the past 3 days. Any advice or is this now a function that no longer works from the app?

A few questions to try and dig into this (updated):
1. I'm assuming you have the Android App based on the category of this bug; is that correct? What mobile device/system are you operating on?
2. Do you have app settings for LibraryThing where you must give LibraryThing access to your photos: can you check those settings?
3. Are you able to upload a cover image using your camera within the LibraryThing App, instead of selecting an existing photo?

Added question:
4. Assuming you're still seeing this issue, what happens when you hit the "Retry" option, after an upload fails? One of our staff was able to reproduce the initial "Upload Failed" on Android, but hitting "Retry" worked.

This is my experience too. I've tried all the workarounds. And I suspect I've now invalidated covers that were fine before. I usually as the book on my mailto, then take a photo of the cover on the app. It used to work, if a bit slow. Usually the covers showed up the next day. But now I get the message, "Failed to upload. Cancel it retry". Retry goes nowhere. I'm using my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Thanks

I am having this issue as well - went in to upload a backlog of covers for books I hadn't found them for yet, and I get "Upload Failed, Failed to upload the cover. Cancel Retry." every time.

1. I am using the Android app, Moto E6 with Android 9, I *think* it's the most up-to-date version, although I can't find it on Google Play so maybe Android 9 is just too old now? ETA: I see that it's down from Play for everyone - in that case it's possible I'm using an outdated version, I don't have autoupdates turned on for bandwidth/storage reasons.

2. I gave the app photo permission today, it has full camera permissions (it doesn't seem to have file permissions? But didn't ask for them either)

3. I am using the camera within the librarything app. But uploading from the gallery fails the same way.

4. Retry continues to fail

Restart of phone/app didn't help. (Also went in to clear more storage space since that's always an issue on this phone, didn't help either.)

Update: we have been working on this but don't have a fix QUITE ready to roll out. Maybe in the next 24 hours? Working on it.
