I have question that just occurred to me as I look over my TBR: Would The Scarlet Letter count for red, or Redemption in Indigo for blue? (I know we’re pretty lax with rules around here!)

30christina_reads
Nov 14, 11:11 am

>29 Charon07: I say yes, definitely! "Red" encompasses scarlet, crimson, vermilion, etc. -- all the synonyms and different shades!

31DeltaQueen50
Nov 14, 12:36 pm

>29 Charon07: & >30 christina_reads: I totally agree with Christina!

32VivienneR
Nov 14, 3:00 pm

>29 Charon07: & >30 christina_reads: & >31 DeltaQueen50: I too agree with Christina! The idea is to make the CAT fun, not filled with "rules".

>32 VivienneR: I like "not filled with rules". These CATs are ways we can read different genres.

It seems that every year, there will be a post somewhere in this group advising readers to interpret a prompt as they wish, or as best they can.
