Mozilla Firefox and LT problem

Almost certainly not an LT bug, so posted here first, rather than to Bug Collectors.

Since late yesterday afternoon my preferred browser, Mozilla Firefox, has been displaying a blank screen for every LT URL I give it. (I'm having to write this on Microsoft Edge, so as to get into LT). Other web sites, including AbeBooks, BBC, eBay, FastHosts, Google and Guardian, to name six, are still working fine on Firefox.

Is anyone else having the same experience? I guess not, seeing as there's no chatter. Could somebody please explain, in simple, non-technical, plain English what to do to get my machine, Firefox and LT talking to each other again. Very many thanks.

>1 Cynfelyn:, I have not seen this but Chrome on the Mac is my daily browser.

Have you already tried to clear the browser cache? If not, that is something to at least try. There are considerations about whether to clear things like cookies and sessions which may cause more headaches by requiring you to log in to sites with remembered logins. But just the saved images and webpages should not cause a huge disruption.

>1 Cynfelyn:

I have not seen any problems, and I also use FireFox (the latest version).

If you're using Edge as your backup, though, that hints that you're on Windows, whereas I am on MacOS. So it's possible that it's a Firefox+Windows thing.

It would help the developers if you would post your exact OS version (Windows 10, Windows 11, whatever), your version of FireFox, and some information about your system.

No problems with FF on LT for me. Windows 10 FWIW

Edit: As for advice, I have nothing beyond the standard clear cache, restart browser. I'd also try on a different machine with Firefox to narrow down the problem

Which Windows? 10 or 11?

I use Firefox (latest update) on Windows 10 and have no issues.
Do you run any scripts or extensions? Have you modified your base Firefox in any way? Have you tried turning off all extensions?

I use the latest edition of Firefox on Windows 11 and have not noticed any problems.

I use FF on a Windows machine and have also been having no trouble. Besides the advice already offered, I would make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox and also recommend restarting your device (from the start menu > power icon > restart, not by using the power button).
