Welcome to the last SFFKIT of the year!
We all know that "books are uniquely portable magic" (Stephen King), but we are taking that more literally this month by reading SFF books involving books. These may be stories featuring magical books or books that the characters learn magic from, books involving enchanted libraries, books whose protagonists read or collect books and so on.
Here are a few ideas:
The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
The Echo of Old Books by Barbara Davies
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
Crime and Poetry by Amanda Flower
The Last Heir to Blackwood Library by Hester Fox
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence
The Wild Book by Juan Villoro
Please share your own ideas and tell us what you plan on reading!
You can find the wiki here.

I just picked up The Book of Doors from the library - perfect for this. I also own The Book Eaters. So one of these two will be my choice.

I'll be reading The Medici Manuscript.

Such a fun topic! I’ll probably read either S. by Doug Dorst and J. J. Abrams or Salamander by Thomas Wharton.
5MissWatson
I hope to read The Secret Chapter, which is next for me in the Invisible Library series.

I really enjoyed Jim Hines's Magic Ex Libris series that starts with Libriomancer.

I reserved The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst at the library, but as I am currently third in line, I probably won't get it in time.
I might instead go with The invisible Library or The Wren in the Holly Library, depending on what I get first.
Earlier this year I read Ink, blood, sister scribe, which would also be a good fit for this challenge.

Planning to read The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean.

I hope to read The Masked City, the second book in the Invisible Library series. I read the first one in July and enjoyed it a lot.

Like many others here, I'll be continuing with the Invisible Library series! I'm planning to read The Masked City in November, so by December I'll be on to The Burning Page.

Finished The invisible library, and I understand why so many of you are continuing the series - I just put the second book on hold at the library.
Kind of cozy in an everything and the kitchen sink way.
Had to give up on The wren in the holly library, as the writing was too atrocious, and the world building way flimsy.

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and have also read The Invisible Library. It was fun and I will most likely continue on with the series.
I have also been slowly making my way through The Great Library of Tomorrow by Rosalia Aguilar Solace. This is a new release that I started in November but am struggling to finish for some reason. It actually has some similarities to The Invisible Library.

January SF&FKIT is up.

Interesting so many of you are really enjoying The Invisible Library. I abandoned it because I found the romance too front and center. I have been reading The Glass Library series starting with The Librarian of Crooked Lane however.

>15 majkia: My husband abandoned it, too, because he did not like the romance aspect (this particular romance, though, not romance in fantasy books in general).

>15 majkia: I actually did contemplate abandoning it because of the romance but found the rest of the story compelling enough to keep going and am glad to have finished it.

>15 majkia: Yes, the romance takes over far too much room as the series progresses, but I found the world interesting enough. So far.

I finished The Masked City and enjoyed it, although there were a few aspects I did not like. But I am looking forward to continuing with the series next year.

I just finished The Burning Page, book #3 of the Invisible Library series, and I'm not finding it too romance-heavy thus far (but then again, I'm a romance reader, so I don't really mind it!). There does seem to be a love triangle brewing -- or perhaps they'll become a polyamorous throuple? -- but I'm content to watch it develop alongside all the adventure and Library politicking. Looking forward to book #4!

In years past I've read The Neverending Story and Inkheart which are great books. This month the fantasy books I've read are Ready Player One and Every Day.
