Recommendations for Books I Already Own?

Was scrolling through my recommendation after a 'You have over 1,000 new recommendations' notification (so I was at http://www.librarything.com/recommendations/MEMBERNAME/new at the time) and got a recommendation for Animal Farm, a book which I have had catalogued for several months at least. At first I thought it was a separation/combination issue, so I opened the book from the recommendations page to add it to my workbench, but was surprised to find it had 'your book information' right there at the top.

So it's not a combination issue, and the book has been in my 'Your books' and indexed/searchable for months, so it isn't a timing/indexing issue... Unless I'm fundamentally misunderstanding how the recommendations feature works?

Anyone else having this issue?

I think it is a timing issue, but in the other direction. I had the same recommendation for Animal Farm a couple days ago and there were some copies that needed to be combined (see: https://www.librarything.com/topic/361495#8684682). They got combined on the 29th so it might just need another few days to catch up.

>2 norabelle414: Interesting! I didn't consider that it could be both a timing issue and a recombination issue at the same time.
