What are we reading in December?

Happy December, everyone! Sorry I'm a bit late in posting this thread; I just got back from my Thanksgiving travels. So what are you all reading this month? I'm reading a seasonal two-in-one volume by Mary Balogh, A Christmas Bride / Christmas Beau. Please share what you're reading or planning to read below!

I'm rereading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame as I gear up for the third book release in January!

I’m currently reading The Best of Leigh Brackett, S., and I Am Homeless If This Is Not My Home. Leigh Brackett is one of the best of the SF Golden Age pulp writers that I’ve read so far. I started reading S. for the SFFKit, but I’m now wondering whether it really qualifies as fantasy, so I might read Salamander by Thomas Wharton later this month. I’m also planning to read Palimpsest by the always delightful Catherynne Valente, for the PrizeCAT.

I am currently reading Christmas with the Queen for NetGalley and The Girls of Lighthouse Lane: Katherine's Story in the Lighthouse Lane series for children.

I'm reading Personal by Lee Child and listening to A Share in Death by Deborah Crombie. And I'll probably start Among the Mad by Jacqueline Winspear soon.

About to begin The High King's Tomb by Kristen Britain, book #3 in the Green Rider series.

Currently reading The Djinn waits a hundred years and listening to The Trick to time

Currently I am reading Christmas with the Queen and Amish Christmas Rescue by Samantha Price.

I'm reading The Editor's Wife by Clare Chambers, an author I've not come across before.

Finished Amish Christmas Rescue and now reading We'll Always Have Christmas, both of these from Kindle Unlimited.

I am currently reading Lightning Men by Thomas Mullen, the second book in his Dark Town series.

Current Dec reads: A Christmas Carol (found a mint condition 1st ed readers digest), Dune Messiah (Herbert), and the Magician (Raymond). The other 20 in the currently reading list are now on hold for those 3. Merry Christmas!

I just finished Two Old Women by Velma Wallis which was a BB I took from Judy.

I'm really trying to finally finish Nefando by Mónica Ojeda, but it's tough because (a) it's in Spanish, (b) it's very dark, and (c) my Libby app keeps deciding it will not load the book and also that someone else has a hold on it (but actually the someone else is me because it also glitched and wouldn't let me renew it and now there's just a phantom hold).

I also started The Invisible Library for SFFKit and have been revisiting David Copperfield in audiobook form at an extremely leisurely pace.

Just finished The Christmas Quilt by Mary Lantz. Currently reading A Very Barrie Christmas: a Poppy Creek Novella by Rachel Bloome and Christmas at Gingerbread Inn by Jennifer Griffith.

I am currently reeadin A Cross-Country Christmas which has turned into a nice romance srory

I'm reading the latest and the last book in the Department Q series, Locked In.

I'm starting Accomplished by Amanda Quain, which appears to be a modern YA retelling of Pride and Prejudice from Georgiana Darcy's point of view.

I've begun The Burning Page by Genevieve Cogman, book #3 in the Invisible Library series.

I finished In Cold Blood, which I enjoyed seemingly more than the first two in the series.
Not sure what's up next.
Listening to The Emperor's Babe, which I expect to finish tonight.

I’m still working on S., but it’s pretty intensive and I don’t have the focus right now to do it justice, so I’ll probably start Salamander for the December SFFKit instead. I’m listening to Orbital by Samantha Harvey and reading The Extinction of Irena Rey by Jennifer Croft and Palimpsest by Catherynne Valente.

I finished A Very Barrie Christmas: A Poppy Creek Novella by Rachael Bloome and currently reading The Christmas Gathering which is an anthology of stories about Amish people.

I am reading an excellent kidnapping thriller by vintage crime writer James Hadley Chase. It's a page-turner!

I'm rereading Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl, which I haven't read since it came out, so I'm interested to see what I think of it this time around.

I'm finishing both A Chainless Soul and Cligès this month, along with a nice stack of cozy mysteries for some light reading: While My Pretty One Knits and A Crafter Knits a Clue. The latter was in the "cozy mystery" display at my local library when I went to pick up the former, so what was I to do??

I finished a bundle of Christmas reads, A Child's Christmas in Wales, Last Night at the Lobster, Small Things like These and Rudolph the Reindeer.

Now starting David Copperfield. Sometimes I start a big chunky book at Christmas on the grounds that I;ve got time to get a fair way through it. You watch me still be reading this in March!

I'm listening to an audio version of Burma Sahib by Paul Theroux, it's long so will finish the month/year for audiobooks. I'm almost finished reading What Bloody Man is That by Simon Brett so might be able to squeeze in something short before the 31st.

I've finished Among the Mad, the 6th book in the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. I think this will probably be the last book I'll finish this year. I have 2 audio books that I won't complete, and I have a kindle that won't be finished either. So, I think I'll start on next year's reading.

I've been reading a zombie series one after the other but I got kinda bored with it so I picked up The Pusher by Ed McBain.

I read Ready Player One and Every Day by David Levithan in the month of December so far.
