I was looking through the gender breakdown of my library, and there are separate columns for "nonbinary" and "non-binary". I'm not sure how to fix this and combine them. There was also a separate column for "Female" (capitalized), with one author who I corrected to "female" (lowercase), but this case sensitivity issue seems like an oversight that should be fixed.

They cannot be combined. You can change them on the author level in the Common Knowledge part of the author recird but another editor may decide to change them back. The field is free text.

And that was the design decision that Tim made. It's not a bug

There is a site improvement topic with a bit of discussion on this here: https://www.librarything.com/topic/364735
