Since mid-September 2024, 90% of edits in CK's canonical title, original title, alternate titles, canonical name, and other names fields have been unable to properly display the 4th or more East Asian characters.

The green line indicates normal display.
The red line indicates that the bug is triggered.
The gray line indicates that there are no 4th or more East Asian characters, so the bug is not triggered.
The yellow line indicates that it appears the bug is not triggered, but it is too short to confirm.

The data is correctly stored, as shown in the popup window, so it's a display error I guess.
Since the first three fields are displayed on the Your Books page, the impact is not limited to the CK Changelog page.

Additionally, I hope that it do not start using "…" after just four characters.

Furthermore, garbled texts in "What" field has become more varied than just since September, but I think this one is rather trivial.

>1 HsuBattery: Thank you for pointing this out! It seems like this is happening because to our character truncation, which is complicated by the "length" of multibyte characters. Ideally our truncation would be aware of this and display these titles correctly: we're documenting this and will work on a fix. However, it may take some time as it won't be an easy fix. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and for your patience; hopefully we can resolve this more easily than expected.
