How Do I add really old books to my library?

I have some books from Pre 1900. They do not show up when I search for them so how can I go about adding them manually?

There’s a manual add button towards the bottom left on the Add Books tab.
But, choosing a different source might give you what you need. Try Overcat.

You can add them manually. The option to do that is at the bottom of the "Add Books" page.

However, it is certainly possible to find pre-1900 works in some sources. I've used the Library of Congress (this found a book I have published in 1714), as well as various university and national libraries.

But don't try Amazon, because older books there are from their partners, and the data is usually really bad.

hi, a question, what if the book is from Project Gutenberg and so doesn't have ISBN etc but has some of the other data ?

Nothing before 1970s has ISBN. (Except modern reprints)

I do Gutenberg books manually, but you can search sources on the info you have if you want to catalogue it as the book they worked from. I tend to use Gutenberg as publisher with their date, and add OPD in the publishing field, as I would any other reprint, but that is each person's choice.
