We're receiving notifications that orders are shipping for SantaThing 2024, so it's time to start this thread!

In past years, we've made a map tracking SantaThing deliveries and we'll do our best to continue the tradition. If you'd like, feel free to post the following:

- Where you're located (not your specific address, just your city, state/province, and country or something identifiable for the map).
- Which bookstore your SantaThing order came from.
- The date on which it arrived.

I'll add them on the SantaThing 2024 Arrivals map.

And, as always, let us know what you received and what you think!

A package arrived from Powells today in Healdsburg, California:) I'm waiting for Christmas to open it!

Another package arrived in Noordwijk just now from Blackwell's... I hadn't expected a third book after yesterday's two, so that was a nice surprise!

Mine arrived last week in Middlebury, Vt and there are some great pics in there!

I received one book from Powell's in SE Wisconsin today. The packing slip said two books were ordered and one was cancelled. Wondering if that was on their end?

Hi katemcangus - our postal carrier, for no discernible reason, marked our address as moved with no forwarding address… we’ve since fixed that devastating-at-Christmas “error,” but it seems 2 books from “Ingram Book Warehouse” were affected. I assume this is my LibraryThing presents…. I think they’ve been sent back… is there something we can do about this?

Three books arrived from Blackwells to Ontario, Canada! I can hardly believe it because the mail strike just ended on Tuesday. I must have been very good this year. Thank you so much to my Secret Santa!

Two packages arrived from Blackwells to the Channel Islands - opened the first as I thought it might be something I'd ordered for someone else and nothing on the outside said Blackwells - checked on the packaging for the second parcel 2 days later and the coding is the same so assume it's from them :)

Received another book from Blackwell's. Side note: The dust jacket was damaged with sticky stuff all down the front of it, no worries, though, the book itself is completely readable. It was wrapped in a plastic bag from USPS, because the box had come open during processing. It was a 934 page book, that is to be expected.📖🔖📚

Evidently, they were waiting for all of the books to arrive in store before starting the shipping process for everyone. We're making note of this and we'll reassess using them as a bookstore next year. We know the goal is to receive books by Christmas day and we're so, so sorry that they'll most likely be arriving later.

Second package arrived today! Weirdly, one was taken to a parcel machine, while the second was just slipped into my mailbox. The packages were the same size and everything... In any case, it meant that both of them managed to be surprising! Thanks again to my secret santa!
