Welcome to the January SFFKIT challenge, Cozy Fantasy!
The term Cozy Fantasy seems to have been coined or at least popularized with Travis Baldrees popular debut Legends and Lattes, and his follow-up prequel Bookshops and Bonedust.
Generally Cozy Fantasy is characterized as being slice of life stories. There is room for mystery, romance and quests, but more important is community or family, warm beverages and delicious food, and a solid sense of place, whether it is a house or village or shop.
Any fantasy that you find cozy would count, here are a few of my suggestions.
Nina Kiriki Hoffmans books, particularly A fistful of sky, A red heart of memories. ILona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles series, Sharon Lees Archer's Beach series.
Magical realism with a strong dose of cozy: The Sugar queen, The Probable future.
A few examples of cozy children and YA: Patricia Wrede series Frontier Magic, Sorcery and Cecelia, Diana Wynne Jones Howls Castle series, particularly House of many ways, Enchanted Glass, and Robin McKinleys Spindles End
If you are more interested in cozy mysteries, check out It takes a witch, Secondhand spirits, Posted To Death.
I had expected a large overlap with romantasy or paranormal fantasy, but I can only name a few: The very secret society of Irregular witches, Paybacks a witch, the Mead Mishaps series (very explicit).
Please share your own favorite cozy fantasies, and your takes on what cozy fantasy even is.
Happy reading in the new year, and remember to update the wiki.

I admit I wasn't sure what I'd find on my endless TBR shelves to fit this category (I'm not much of a cozy person), but with open interpretation of paranormals fitting into fantasy, the very cozy paranormal series Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series works, and I've got a few of those left on my shelf!

I had planned to read The Spellshop in December but had to return it to the library unread - so many holds on it! This would fit here but I have quite a few others as well.

I'm planning on The Wizard's Butler which I hope will fit.

Planning on Legends and Lattes, with some trepidation; cozy fantasy isn't usually my cup of tea.

I'm reading Instant Karma by David Michie for the RandomKIT next month, and it might fit here. What would happen in a world where you suddenly started getting the karma for your actions good and bad almost immediately?

Wondering if I can read a second book in a middle grade fantasy The Bookseller's Apprentice here? I always find childrens' books in general, fantasy in particular, to be my cosy place. And it is about a bookseller and books are definitely my ultimate happy, cosy place.

Just seen a new cosy fantasy that came out in November, The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong. I may have to choose this one.
And I would also recommend The Tea Dragon Society as an adorable graphic novel series.

I will be reading Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett (and I will also be using this book for the ColorCAT Green challenge.)

>7 JayneCM: It looks like a great pick! I actually found a lot of overlap with children and YA fantasy when I searched for cozy fantasy, and I’d love to read this one.
