Graphic Novel name?

I'n trying to find a graphic novel series of 2, maybe 3 by now. The main character is a blonde teen girl with rich parents who almost gets hit by a bus, but is instead teleported to another world with bugs. She finds a blue orb, and then goes back. She has a male friend as well, who later goes into the world with her. They are hunted for the blue orb and she has some kind of power. She has a brother. The world is completely different with bugs and magical creatures and people. Any help would be appreciated! Let me know if there's more info needed.

The only series I can think of is The Amulet. There is a girl main character who is transported into a different world, however she has red hair and it is not a blue orb that she finds, but a blue stone/amulet. Maybe it is what you are looking for!
