Please help us! We are looking for a chapter book that is meant for children. Not a YA novel.
We are looking for a fictional book. It is about a girl, her older sister, and her father. Her father works at the museum. There's a creepy lady, that's really pretty. Everyone likes her except the main character. She thinks the lady is suspicious. Later she finds out the lady paints portraits. She goes into a room and hears voices and the voices are girls that the lady has painted and they all tell the main character not to let the lady paint her portrait. Then the lady wants to paint the older sister's portrait and the main character starts to panic.
Every time I look up things that are related it only comes up with "From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankwiler". This is not the correct book.
The cover might have been light blue. There was a sketch of a girl on it and may have had a watch or clock on the front as well. We also seem to remember the title being written in a typewriter font. We also remember there potentially being snowflakes or a mention of snow in the title of the book, but aren't entirely sure.
The book was wider than a typical chapter book.
We read it in the U.S. about 6 years ago.

This sounds a lot like Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy! The Wikipedia article has a more in-depth summary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophelia_and_the_Marvelous_Boy), including how the beautiful female museaum curator is beloved by all except Ophelia, traps people in paintings, and manipulates Ophelia's older sister in order to kill her.
