I need help finding a this book I read back in jr high. It was between the years 2015-2017 and I think it was published around the early 2000s-2010s.
This is everything I know:

General Information:
• Genre: YA contemporary romance.
• Setting: High school setting, likely in the U.S.
• Time Period: Likely published between the 2000s and 2010s.
• Cover: Pinkish tone.

Main Characters:
1. Protagonist (Female):
• A high school senior girl.
• Likely has a short, simple American name like Abby or Claire.
• She’s kind, stubborn, and initially unimpressed by the male lead.
• Eventually develops feelings for him as they spend more time together.
2. Taylor (Male Lead):
• High school basketball star, the “golden boy,” and team captain.
• At first, he seems flirty and stereotypical but proves to be kind and genuine.
• Frequently emails the protagonist and bonds with her during nighttime visits to a playground swingset near her house.

Plot Highlights:
1. Opening Scene:
• Begins at a basketball game where Taylor, the team captain, dedicates a shot to the protagonist by pointing and winking at her. She rolls her eyes, finding it ridiculous.
2. Romance Development:
• The two bond through frequent emails and nighttime meetings at a swingset near her house.
• Taylor’s softer, caring side emerges during these moments, and the protagonist realizes he’s not a stereotypical jock.
3. Birthday Scene:
• On her birthday, her family leaves her a cake and possibly a card.
• Her friends send her a text saying “Happy Birthday.”
• Taylor surprises her by showing up at her door with flowers, and they spend the day together.
4. Climactic Confession:
• Taylor confesses his love to the protagonist, using her full name.
• He says, “I love you,” wishes her “Happy Birthday,” and they share their first kiss.

Subplots:
1. The Creepy Relative:
• Taylor has an older relative (possibly a cousin) who makes inappropriate advances toward the protagonist.
• The same relative approaches the protagonist’s younger sister (around 14 years old) at the swingset, which the protagonist witnesses from her bedroom window.
• The relative calls the protagonist “jailbait” and makes an inappropriate comment like, “Good, because then you wouldn’t be considered jailbait.”
• Taylor becomes protective and confronts the relative, leading to his arrest.
2. Art Class Scene:
• The protagonist is late to art class in one scene.
• She assumes the teacher doesn’t notice, but the teacher subtly calls her out, telling her not to be late again.
3. Friendship Dynamics:
• A friend of the protagonist, possibly named Claire or Chloe, strongly encourages her to pursue Taylor.

Other Details:
• Playground Swingset:
• The swingset is a key location where Taylor and the protagonist bond.
• In one conversation, Taylor explains why he likes swingsets, and she observes how he barely moves while sitting on one.

It’s not a well known book by any means, but I want to find this book more than anything. I love it, it’s one of my lost favorites I have ever read I just don’t remember enough to find it. I’m praying someone else out there knows it.

Thank you!
