Found: Highland Story

Trying to find a book I read years ago I believe set in the Scottish Highlands. Heroine is possibly called Ailiss who is kidnapped by a lord. She also has three small nieces and nephews she takes care of who are able to sense things (e.g kittens drowning). She also has a friend who is scared of the dark/claustrophobic. I’ve been racking my brains trying to find this for ages
