off-the-grid father dies, children rejoin society

This book came out in the last two years I'm quite certain. I only read the synopsis. it had a catchy, brooding title I'm sure to make me click on it repeatedly. the gist I got was a single father raised his kids, probably a boy and a girl, off the grid and distrustful of authority like he was hiding from something, then he's out of the picture (dead or maybe imprisoned) and the kids, probably teens by now, go out in the world and realize he lied about how bad things are out there but the tagline implied there was still a danger out there specific to their family.

Some overlap with If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch, though it's a bit of a stretch.

Kind of sounds like Searching for Sky by Jillian Cantor but it's outside your range.
