I'm hopeless

Well, this time I know nearly every one of the answers in the Christmas "Find Candles" game, but as always, I can't figure out where Library Thing wants me to go.
Could we have a simplified version of this for people like me who know which works the answers are, but are confounded by trying to figure out what LT wants?
I try every one they put up, but I never succeed.
Thank you.

>1 Kathleen828: You can ask for help in the Talk thread: https://www.librarything.com/topic/366593
Or in the group for all LibraryThing hunts: https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/23170/LT-Treasure-Hunts

There's still 2 weeks left in the hunt, you have lots of time to think about where the answers might be. (Remember that they're not always works)

Well, they're not all "works". Sometimes they are authors, sometimes they are tags, sometimes they are a Common Knowledge field (character, place), etc. So try something other than a Work page!

>1 Kathleen828: one of the reasons for the hunts is to get people to visit parts of the site they don’t even know exist. As you work through the hunts, they get easier in that regard - next time you know where to look a bit better (although they often find a new place to highlight).

It may be worth looking at some of the old ones and following the answers - so you can see what kind of pages are usually used. Or follow the clues of the current one.

If you start thinking that you don’t know where to go, you will probably fail. But if you give it a chance and actually try to find the pages, you may find it almost addictive. Knowing what word you are looking for is just half of the clue and the hunt. Good luck!

As long as you realize that the target page can be any of the below:

a work
a tag
a CK character
a venue
an author
a group
(and possibly more)

just make a habit of searching all those types of pages.

>6 anglemark: You can also add:

*a CK location
*a tag mash
*a specific non-book page on LT (2 of the clues referred to those this time round)
*a work found in Early Reviewers (you need to link to the work from that page not from LT Search). Remember to remove all genre and country filters.

Just ask for help in the hunt thread. There are hints already that might help and if not, ask further. There are always helpful people around and, as said, you get the hang of it after a few hunts and learn about numerous aspects of LT in the process.

Thank you to all the kind people who replied and gave suggestions. I will try them and see what happens :-)

>7 Maddz: indeed this time there was a clue under https://www.librarything.com/place/ !
>1 Kathleen828: Since English is not my primary language, I don't even try to get all answers (even if I could peruse the hints). Whatever I manage to find is ok for me.

>10 .mau.: Yup. I'm reasonably well read but I'm neither English nor American. The ones I failed to get on my own in this hunt proved all of them to be completely unknown to me once I got them with the help of the clues in Talk.
