I read this book 10-15 years ago.
It's a novel set in Yorkshire (or nearby) in the north of England. It's about a daughter (in her 20s), a mother (40s/50s) and her own elderly mother.
The novel changes point of view between the characters.
The daughter is young and has a strained relationship with her mother. The mother is harassed and has to care for the granny. The granny has dementia and is increasingly confused.
They discover at some point that the granny used to perform sketches in local dialect in her youth, and has been very funny.
Cannot for the life of me remember any characters names, the title, author, or book cover.
After my own caring-giving experience, looking after my Grandma who recently passed away, I would love to read this book again. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
