General info: I started reading this book in 2022 and I think it was a new release at that time.
Plot: the book starts off with a murder; a college-aged girl and boy flirt at a bar and the boy takes the girl to a night hike under the guise of stargazing or something, then he kills her.
One POV is the victim's family, specifically her little sister, who is being comforted over the phone by her boyfriend. Another POV is a woman who is CEO of a non-profit and has recently hired an intern who she realizes she doesn't know anything about, how they were hired, if they had a background check, etc. Another POV is a man who is an actor (I think) and is on a date with his boyfriend at a cafe. Another POV is the killer. I have to assume there is a POV for the detective/police officer but I don't have a memory of one.
My theory is that the victim's sister's boyfriend, the intern, and the actor's boyfriend are all the same person, and that they are also the killer, but I don't actually know. The last thing I remember reading is the killer spying on the CEO through the window of her house.
