I'm trying to find the name of a historical romance book that was published in 1989. I don't remember the plot of the book but I do remember the cover. The couple is on the back of a white horse (facing out towards the reader) he is behind her and she is looking back at him. They both have long black hair. She is in a white dress, he has white shirt on. there are purple (and white?) flowers all around them. there is a house (think Tara) on the top left behind them.
Like I said I don't remember the plot of the book but I can tell you that he is not an Indian or a Pirate. The story takes place in the US. east coast. Carolians maybe.
The spine of the book was a lavender color and there was an oval on the spine with a picture of the couple on the front in it. I'm 99% sure it was not a Zebra or a Heartfire published book. The book came out in either late 1988 or early 1989 (between Jan and May).
