Pretty sure the author was female. I think the trilogy was called "of gods" or something along those lines but could be way off. It might have only been 2 books but I feel like I read 3.
The main characters were a lady with a very non-standard name and a male nordic warrior (not actually a viking but a similar description). The series starts with the lady escaping from some group of soldiers in winter. The lady can perform magic, but it's more on the mysticism side of things, not really flashy from what I remember. At some point she traps a god to make a deal or trick them. The guy is pretty succinct when speaking, and I think he had some hang ups around magic. If I remember correctly, he gets hurt and she uses a ritual to heal him and it causes some strife between them. The leads also don't get involved from what I recall. Sometimes they think about it but i don't think they ever do anything and I think the series ends with them going their separate ways (this is fuzzy). I feel like the main plot was the afore mentioned god was going to cause mass destruction and the tie in with the female lead was she had made a pact with him previously. I think the male lead was named Vigo or Viko.
The books would have come out between 2017 - 2022 ish. The first one was on Amazon's First list, but I've been scouring lists and no covers or names are matching what I remember. The ones I read were on the Kindle app and the digital covers were star scapes / nebulas that formed an image. I deleted my Amazon account so I can't go back and look.
