About My Library

After twenty+ years working at various bookstores, my personal library is eclectic in the extreme, although my long-standing interest in children's literature means that juvenile titles predominate. As for my online library, which includes those books I have borrowed from libraries all over the country (Inter-Library Loan being a wondrous thing!), it ranges from obscure American children's novels from the early twentieth century, to the latest blockbuster picture-books.

About Me

I am a newish member of the LibraryThing team, working on special projects and member support. I run the Early Reviewers program and the List of the Month project, spearhead our Treasure Hunts, manage our social media accounts, and write LibraryThing's newsletter, State of the Thing.

A sincere stumbler after truth, with no shortage of opinions, and a strong desire to do right, I believe in reasoned and respectful discourse. With more areas of interest than time to pursue them - not to mention a nature more given to enthusiasm than prone to discipline - I suspect that my list of books to-read will always outstrip my list of books already read.
