Reviews

David is in prison, convicted of killing his 5 year old son and believes he was responsible although not the one who ,killed him. Suddenly his world is turned upside down when he realises his son is actually alive. A clever plot with the usual Coben twists before the final reveal. Guest appearance from a Marlon Bolitar character!

David Burroughs is five years into his prison sentence for the brutal murder of his three-year-old son, Matthew, when his ex-wife’s sister, Rachel, shows up for a visit. She shows him a photograph taken at an amusement park. In the background of the photo is his son, Matthew.

David did not kill his son and now he has proof that he is still alive, David comes up with a plan to escape from prison and enlist Rachel's help in finding his son and proving his innocence.

This is my first Harlan Coben novel but it won't be my only. While the banter between the two FBI agents, Max and Sarah, was a bit hokey, the story otherwise was pretty good. It was a quick read.… (more)

Think Twice (Myron Bolitar, #12) by Harlan Coben

Myron and Win team up to investigate a high profile murder. Things get complicated when the FBI informs Myron his friend Gregg is (probably) not dead and he is assigned to find him. Soon more end up dead. It appears to be a serial killer on the loose. The pair will stop at nothing to uncover the truth.

The story moves at a fast pace, character driven, engaging dialog and attention to detail. Plenty of plot twists and edge-of-your-seat moments. I was engrossed from the first page until the shocking end.

Overall I found Think Twice very enjoyable. I highly recommend to those who like a great (compelling) crime thriller. A must read for fans of Harlan Coben. A true five-star read!

This one....was a little too descriptively grizzly....I keep wondering how on earth Coben comes up with the....well....really awful detailed happenings that he makes you actually picture in your mind. Yes, whew. I have read almost every one of his books but somehow I missed this one. The ending sort of lets you choose-your-own conclusion for the two involved and if that's okay with the author, I can choose the epilogue's epilogue!!!
