Heller Verlag is the publishing venture of author Klaus Heller, who has worked as a skydiving instructor, helicopter pilot, author and journalist. He has written numerous travel guides as well as non-fiction and specialised books for ADAC, Nymphenburger and Heyne Verlag, among others. Heller has travelled twice around the world and lived in the USA, the Middle East, among the Indians in the Amazon and on the San Blas Islands. On his travels, he observed and analysed simple survival strategies in crisis areas and far from civilisation.
